Security is part of how Brigeio is designed. This page explains how Brigeio protects access today, using only mechanisms and claims we can verify in the product.
How it works
Four things that hold a session together.
These are the mechanisms Brigeio relies on today, described in full rather than summarised into a claim.
Account authentication
You sign in to your Brigeio account before any of your computers can be reached.
Device authorization
A computer has to be added and authorized before it can accept a remote session.
Connection architecture
Brigeio connects two computers directly when the network allows it, and uses a relay when it does not. We explain both on the Security page.
Updates
Brigeio is updated through the application, so fixes reach the computers you use.
Connection architecture
How two computers actually reach each other.
A remote session is a connection between two computers that both run Brigeio and are both signed in to your account. There are two ways that connection can be made.

Direct connection
When the two networks allow it, the computers exchange session traffic directly with each other.
Brigeio relay
When a direct connection cannot be established — a restrictive network, for example — the session is carried through a Brigeio relay instead.
Brigeio client B
- Both computers must be signed in to your Brigeio account before a session can start.
- The remote computer must have been added and authorized for access.
- Which of the two paths is used is decided per session, by what the networks allow.
- Brigeio infrastructure runs on its own hosts, separate from this website: the application services and the relay are not part of the static site you are reading.

We only publish security claims that we can verify in the product. As Brigeio evolves, this page will be updated with additional technical details once they are confirmed.
Reporting a security issue
If you believe you have found a security problem in Brigeio, write to the security mailbox with enough detail to reproduce it. Please do not publish it before we have had a chance to respond.

Brigeio is a small public Beta. We would rather hear about a problem early and honestly than find out about it late.
